The often contentious conversation on immigration that is raging at every level of government raises the question of who we are as a nation, how we've arrived at this present moment, and what our future looks like. For this reason, we are partnering with the Vilna Shul and the JCC of Greater Boston on Thursday, October 4, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM to present "Immigration: Then and Now ,” featuring a panel of experts who will discuss the important questions this topic raises, and offer insights and new ways to think about the roles immigrants and refugees have always played in American history. Panelists include Ivan Espinoza-Madrigal of the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Economic Justice and Brandeis historian Ellen Smith, with ADL New England Regional Director Robert Trestan moderating.
