Diana Eck: Religious Pluralism and the Humanist Community

Date:

Sunday, April 15, 2018 (All day)

Location:

30 John F. Kennedy St, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA
This Sunday, we are delighted to host Diana Eck at the Humanist Hub. Dr. Eck is a Professor of Comparative Religion and Indian Studies at Harvard University, as well as the Director of The Pluralism Project at Harvard. The aim of the Pluralism Project is to engage, educate, and strengthen the next generation of religious and civic leaders in the United States. It is a two decade-long research project that engages students in studying the new religious diversity in the United States, asserting that mere diversity or plurality alone does not constitute pluralism. Eck will invite us to ask what role Humanists and Humanist communities play in pluralism, and in the American religious landscape. This event will include poetry, music, reflections, discussion, refreshments, and more. Newcomers are always welcome!
