Don't miss this timely and fascinating opportunity- open to all- to learn about the commonalities and differences between Muslims and Jews. Saturday evening February 10th at 7:30pm (includes refreshments) and Sunday morning February 11th at 9:00 am. During the Saturday evening program, Haroon will discuss his journey into the Jewish community through the Muslim Leader Initiative (MLI), an educational program of the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America, what he learned in working at Hartman, and what many Jewish communities might not know about Muslim communities in America. For the Sunday morning program, Haroon will "teach Islam like most people never experience it; what it means to be Muslim, and how Islam sees the origins and purpose of humanity." An introduction that goes back to the very beginnings of Islam, this class will interactively explore what the world looks like through Muslim eyes. Free.
