    Are you confused and hurting about what happened in Pittsburgh? Are you thinking about how those events and people's reactions fit into larger systems of oppression? Are you wondering about how anti-semitism is connected to white supremacy and the Occupation in Israel/Palestine?     Shabbat of Comfort, Community and Courage

    In response to the October 27th anti-Semitic murder of 11 worshippers at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) encouraged people worldwide to stand in solidarity with their Jewish neighbors through a campaign called #ShowUpForShabbat. On November 2, the first Shabbat after the shooting, synagogues hosted an influx of attendees, both Jewish and non-Jewish. Temple Israel in Boston hosted a Shabbat of Comfort, Community and Courage.
