    Shabbat of Comfort, Community and Courage

    In response to the October 27th anti-Semitic murder of 11 worshippers at Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) encouraged people worldwide to stand in solidarity with their Jewish neighbors through a campaign called #ShowUpForShabbat. On November 2, the first Shabbat after the shooting, synagogues hosted an influx of attendees, both Jewish and non-Jewish. Temple Israel in Boston hosted a Shabbat of Comfort, Community and Courage.
