Reverse Engineering Kaltura Video URLs

You may find Kaltura videos that are rendered with Javascript on exteral sites. If you need to embed the video into OpenScholar in an iFrame, you can use this convention.

Start with embed URL example:

https://cdnapisec.kaltura.com/html5/html5lib/v2.54.1/mwEmbedFrame.php/p/656952/uiconf_id/34974812/entry_id/1_qnxa9id0?wid=_656952&iframeembed=true&playerId=video-embed-1&entry_id=1_qnxa9id0&flashvars[streamerType]=auto%22%20width=%22560%22%20height=%22395%22%20allowfullscreen%20webkitallowfullscreen%20mozAllowFullScreen%20frameborder=%220%22

Next, you have to replace these 3 IDs whereever they appear in the URL:
uiConfId
widgetId
entryId

Optionally the /p parameter. I find that it stil works without replacing.

You’ll find these ID’s in the markup
