From Logan Airport to Harvard Square

  • By subway:
    Take the SILVER Line to South Station. Switch to the RED LINE outbound (toward ALEWIFE), go six stops and get off at HARVARD. A CharlieTicket costs $2.10.
  • By taxi:
    The ride to Harvard Square takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Typically, the ride from Logan Airport to Harvard Square costs about $40-45.

South Station (Bus/Train Station) to Harvard Square

  • By subway:
    Take the RED LINE toward ALEWIFE from South Station six stops to HARVARD SQUARE.

Driving to Harvard Square

  • From south of Boston:
    Take I-93 North to Boston. Take the "Storrow Drive" exit from the tunnel. Continue on Storrow Dr approximately 4 miles to Cambridge/Allston exit. Turn right at end of ramp onto John F. Kennedy Street bridge. Harvard Square is 1/2 mile straight ahead.
  • From north of Boston:
    Take I-93 South towards Boston. Shortly before the city, take the "Storrow Drive" exit on your right. You will then be driving alongside I-93 until the ramp turns right and you merge onto Storrow Drive. Continue on Storrow Drive approximately 4 miles to Cambridge/Allston exit. Turn right at end of ramp onto John F. Kennedy Street bridge. Harvard Square is 1/2 mile straight ahead.
  • From west of Boston:
    Take I-90 East (Mass Turnpike) to exit 18 (Cambridge/Allston). Bear right after toll booth at end of exit ramp. Turn left after lights (but before the bridge) onto Storrow Drive. Take Cambridge/Allston exit (1/2 mile ahead) and turn right at end of ramp onto John F. Kennedy Street bridge. Harvard Square is 1/2 mile straight ahead.

PARKING

Daily visitor parking permits should be obtained online at least one day in advance of your arrival. The closest lot to the Science complex is at 52 Oxford St. There is a fee schedule for parking on weekdays, weeknights and weekends.
