7.24 Policy on Pets in the Classroom

Pets (animals of any kind, including dogs, cats, reptiles, etc.) are not permitted in classrooms, anatomy labs or in learning sessions of any kind, except for registered service animals. The presence of pets in the classroom may result in distractions for students and faculty; concerns of those who suffer from allergies or have a fear of animals; and a potentially unsafe environment for the animal (in the case of labs or proximity of hazardous materials). The Program in Medical Education reserves the right at any time to require students or faculty who violate the policy to immediately leave the class session.
