Orientations for New Faculty

The New Faculty Institute is a 2 day conference held in August designed to welcome new FAS tenure-track and senior faculty to campus and give them the resources they need. It is hosted by the Academic Deans of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning.

The program includes overviews of Harvard resources, workshops on teaching and course development, and information on topics ranging from the undergraduate curriculum to mentoring and career development.  It also provides a way for new faculty to meet each other and invited members of the Harvard community, including deans and veteran faculty.

This event, which takes place on August 21-22, 2017, is by invitation only for new faculty.
